CANADA DAY FIREWORKS



o Where: Muskoseepi Park




o When: Entertainment starts at 8pm with the Fireworks starting at Midnight on June 30th




THE REAFFIRMATION CEREMONY




o Where: Centre 2000




o When: 10:00am




o By celebrating citizenship, these ceremonies offer all Canadians the opportunity to reflect on their rights and responsibilities and to reaffirm their commitment to Canada. The ceremony in a formal event where participants take the Oath of Citizenship to express their commitment to Canada.




o The Oath of Canadian Citizenship: "I affirm that I will be faithful and bear true allegiance to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Second, Queen of Canada, Her Heirs and Successors, and that I will faithfully observe the laws of Canada and fulfil my duties as a Canadian citizen."




o Presentation of Reaffirmation Certificates




o National Anthem




o Closing of the Ceremony




o Speeches




*Note: People who are citizens of other countries cannot be granted Canadian citizenship by taking oath at the reaffirmation ceremony. *




SASKATOON TEA




o Where: Centre 2000




o When: 10:45 am - After Reaffirmation Ceremony


o What: Free Muffins and Saskatoon Tea


PARADE




o Where: Starting at 94th Street and 108th Ave and Ending at GPRC Parking Lot A




o When: 1:00pm – 2:30pm




- When the parade is finished, head down to Muskoseepi Park where we’ll be celebrating Canada’s many colours with a wide variety of entertainment, activities, food and more.




CANADA DAY CELEBRATION




o Where: Centre 2000




o When: 1:00pm – 6:00pm


o What: - Hosted by G.P. Regional Tourism, Travel Alberta, and Heritage Discovery Centre- Carnival Rides, Air Brush Tattoos, Balloon Animals, Cookie Decorating, Guess How Many, Bouncy Rides, Music, Kids Coloring Contest, Scavenger Hunt, Children’s Games, Food, Canada Day Cake, Fabulous prizes to be won and Many More!
